We’re hiring.

We’re looking for someone with barista experience, but will certainly consider humans with little experience that possess a passion for high-end specialty coffee. Other good traits include:

-You have hospitality in your blood and a outgoing personality, but know when to kick it into high gear and move a line of customers so they can enjoy there beverage.
-You are task oriented and are constantly getting the right things done without being asked
-You are coordinated, motivated, and bring positive energy to the work environment every day
-You have a natural curiosity and desire to learn about coffee, tea, and espresso
-You are dependable and honest
-You are a good communicator

Professionals want to work in a business that has respect for it's product and values the skills of the people that prepare it well. We're not looking for people to show up, punch a clock, collect a paycheck and go home. We're looking for hardworking, self motivated types with an aptitude for learning and a desire to constantly improve their game. Did we mention that it's a fun place to work?

Experience is a plus, but making the drinks here is serious stuff- you have to earn the privelege to serve our customers. No experience? We can train you, it just may take a little while before we turn you loose on a customer's cappuccino.

“Barista Apprentice” responsibilities include:

-Represent & show respect to well
-Greet customers and create a friendly environment
-Make recommendations, discuss the menu with customers, and run the register
-Prepare and serve hand brewed coffee to our standards
-Restock various items and communicate needs to management
-Cleaning – dishes, equipment, tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, trash
-Assist the barista on duty so that he/she may be more efficient
-Do the above to your best ability and improve your knowledge and service every day
“Barista” responsibilities include the above, plus:

-Be able to run a store and lead others through the demands of the day
-Recommend ways to make the business better and take ownership of changes
-Demonstrate a deeper understanding of the coffee industry to share and discuss with customers
-Drink Coffee daily
-Resolving customer concerns and issues as they arise
-Learn and demonstrate understanding of:
-How to prepare and troubleshoot high quality espresso and espresso based drinks in a busy environment
-How to move efficiently behind the bar and effectively move the line
-How to work with minimal waste of coffee, milk and other supplies
-How to brew coffee using various methods
